The Higher Professional Technician Course does not award an academic degree. However, upon successful completion, the diploma of higher professional technician is awarded. This study cycle is taught in polytechnic education, has 120 credits and lasts four curricular semesters.
Holders of a higher professional technical diploma can enter undergraduate study cycles, then acquiring the respective academic degree. The Professional Senior Technician in Human Resources Administrative Management must manage and ensure the application of the necessary technical and administrative procedures, in order to obtain relevant information in the area of human resources management, as support for decision making.

- Operationalize the recruitment and selection process;
- Carry out the welcoming and socialization process for new employees;
- Perform or guide the collection of data relating to attendance,
- Process and pay salaries;
- Complete documentation relating to legal obligations;
- Prepare training plans and reports, applying administrative procedures arising from labor law;
- Implement the processes inherent to team management;
- Promote good interpersonal relationship practices;
- Carry out the administrative process relating to performance evaluation;
- Ensure the implementation of occupational health and safety;
- Structure and use information systems to support human resources management;
- Update information on employees’ individual processes;
- Implement internal and external communication plans.
