Basics of chemistry, materials and general examination and analysis methods.

Objectives
Be familiar with the major laboratory methods used to study cultural heritage.
Develop skills enabling to select the most appropriate analytical strategy to solve a material problem and be able to interpret the results.

Evaluation Methodology
Mini-tests in class (50 %) and written test or exam (50 %).
