Environmental and Biological Engineering
5.5 ECTS; 3º Ano, 1º Semestre, 30,0 T + 30,0 P
Students should develop skills to understand the complexity of the environmental interactions resulting from the presence of xenobiotics in the environment, identify environmental risks and get familiar with the ecotoxicological tests.
1-Toxicology and ecotoxicology;
3-Distribution of pollutants and modelation;
4-The destination of metals and radioactiv isotopes in contaminated ecosystems;
5-The destination of the organic pollutants in the individuals and ecosystems;
7-Forecast of ecological effects;
8-Monitorization and bioindicators;
9-Risk evaluation of contaminants.
Assessment includes mini-tests and laboratory reports. A mimimum mark of 10/20 exempts students from taking the exam.
