The Polytechnic of Tomar (IPT), together with ENDESA, is launching a new cTeSP course in Renewable Energies. The course was designed in partnership with Endesa to support Pego's Just Transition project and provide the necessary expertise for the renewable energy sector. The teaching part consists of 708 hours of classroom teaching and 640 hours of work-based training (internship). As far as possible, Endesa will offer the possibility of carrying out a significant number of internships in its wind farms. Applications are made online via the IPT's application portal at https://portal2.ipt.pt/pt/candidaturas/ and close on 20 January 2024.

The Higher Professional Technical Course (CTeSP) provides a Level V professional qualification, which gives access to various IPT degrees via internal competition (without having to apply for the National Call for Applications to Public Higher Education).

Interested parties will find information on the fees and tuition fees on the IPT website, at https://www.ipt.pt. As this is a PRR-funded course, graduates will be entitled to merit scholarships on completion of the course, in accordance with the respective scholarship regulations, available at

Who can enrol in the course?

In order to apply for the course, need to hold one of the following qualifications:

• secondary school diploma or equivalent qualification;
• Level IV secondary school vocational diploma;
• Level-4 Postsecondary Vocational Diplomas (CET);
• a university degree and wish to refresh and update their professional skills;
• be more than 23 years of age and have passed the special examinations intended to evaluate the ability to pursue undergraduate studies.

This initiative will be followed by an information session open to the public on 10th January 2024 at 5.30pm in the Dr Júlio das Neves Auditorium, on the Tomar Campus of the Polytechnic of Tomar.
