To establish itself as a reference space for audiovisual and multimedia production and innovation, integrating the management of specialized infrastructures and technologies, the practical training of students, and the development of projects in collaboration with the community and industry.

Objectives

• Promote practical, experimental, and multidisciplinary training in the fields of audiovisual, multimedia, and digital communication;
• Foster innovation and the experimentation of new techniques, technologies, and formats for audiovisual and multimedia production and distribution;
• Ensure the management, maintenance, and optimization of the spaces, equipment, and technical infrastructures assigned to the laboratory;
• Encourage the active participation of students in real audiovisual and multimedia production environments, bringing education closer to professional practices;
• Develop audiovisual and multimedia content for multiple communication and distribution platforms;
• Support the coverage, production, and dissemination of scientific, academic, cultural, and institutional events whenever they are framed within a pedagogical and training perspective;
• Establish collaborative relationships with external entities, the community, and the business and industrial sectors, promoting the transfer of knowledge, skills, and professional practices;
• Contribute to the institutional promotion of the Polytechnic University of Tomar through the creation of innovative audiovisual communication content and solutions, provided that these are developed within the scope of the laboratory’s academic and training activities.
