Objectives
The course aims to introduce students to the concept of Integrated Planning and understanding of the specific
place of cultural heritage in that concept. There will be a discussion on the evolution of territorial management
systems, with their progressive incorporation of new componentes.

Program
1. Social concerns and the place of heritage in the information society.
2. Concepts of space, time and causality. The role of technology in human behavior and its relevance in the
information society. Knowledge and alienation.
3. Heritage and foresight. The place of heritage in the construction of future scenarios.
4. Heritage and identity: re-configurations, tensions and conflicts.
