Objectives
The students will get acquainted with the physical and chemical processses used in water and wastewater treatment stations.

Program
Characterisation of untreated water. General operation of a water treatment station. Physical and chemical treatments. Disinfection. Wastewater properties. WTS technologies. Primary treatments. Activated sludge processes. Lagoon systems. Wastewater terciary treatments.

Evaluation Methodology
Written tests and reports on laboratory work performed.
