It is intended that the students are able to:
- Frame historically and culturally Western Art (from antiquity to the present day)
- Demonstrate some ability to observe and analyze a work of art
- Know the principles that an art work can end
- Understand the mechanisms of representation

III- The Middle Ages to the XIX century
IV- Art of the XXI and XIX centuries
V- Brief history of cinema

Evaluation Methodology
Continuous assessment
- A short written evaluation (25%)
- A research paper (25%)
- Small practical work done in class (50%)

Admission to the exam students with a grade lower than 9.5 as a result of continuous assessment. Exam: Written test.

Method of interaction
Classes are taught based on observation and analysis commented chronological works of art taking into account always the artistic and socio-economic framework of the time
