Next Monday, 27 July, at 11:30 a.m., the Protocol Signing Ceremony for the Collaboration Agreement between the Tomar City Council (CMT), the Portuguese Army, and the Polytechnic of Tomar (IPT) will take place at the Dr. Maria do Rosário Mendes Godinho Passos Baeta Neves Auditorium (B121).
The partnership establishes a framework for institutional, scientific, and technical collaboration between the three entities, aimed at the preservation, study, enhancement, and dissemination of the documentary and photographic heritage of the 15th Infantry Regiment, a collection of significant historical, cultural, and scientific value for Tomar and for Portuguese military history.
This collaboration brings together institutions with complementary expertise, reinforcing their shared commitment to preserving collective memory, promoting historical heritage, and advancing knowledge through an integrated approach encompassing research, conservation, and public dissemination.
The agreement also provides that part of the scientific, technical, and cultural activities may be developed within the framework of the Tomar Centre for Photography Studies (CEFT), a joint initiative of the CMT and the Polytechnic of Tomar.
