4th International Seminar: Heritage, Identity and Community.

The 4th International Seminar – Heritage, Identity and Community will take place on 17 and 18 July. The seminar is an initiative of the MEDICE II project, developed through a partnership between the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, CAAPortugal, the Autonomous University of Lisbon, and the Federal University of Pernambuco.

The seminar aims to serve as a forum for reflection and knowledge exchange on transatlantic archaeological heritage, bringing together researchers from around the world to discuss archaeology, identity, community, and the protection of cultural heritage.

The programme includes research presentations, guided tours, and activities aimed at showcasing and promoting research projects. The programme for 18 July includes a guided visit to the Azurrague Dolmen. During the afternoon, participants will attend presentations on the archaeological heritage of Central Portugal and Brazil, culminating in the launch of the e-book Proceedings of the 3rd Seminar on Heritage, Identity and Community.

The seminar is open to all interested participants at no cost, and additional workshops will be offered as part of the programme.
