The first day of the transnational meeting of the KreativEU consortium, a network of higher education institutions at European level led by the Polytechnic of Tomar, took place this Monday 16th.

The meeting runs until next Wednesday and is attended by representatives from Valahia University of Târgoviste, Romania, the University of South Bohemia in Ceské Budejovice, Czech Republic, the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics, Bulgaria, the University of Camerino, Italy, Adana Alparslan Turkes Science and Technology University, Turkey, Trnava University and Slovakia.

Representatives from other institutions invited to join the consortium were also present: Opole University of Technology in Poland, Breda University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, Sodertorn University in Sweden and the University of Greifswald in Germany.

KreativEU is part of the initiative promoted by the European Commission for the establishment of European Universities and its main objective is to foster long-term institutional and strategic cooperation between the various European higher education institutions involved, through the implementation of a competitive and attractive educational model, based on the promotion and assimilation of various local and national cultural traditions, crafts and folklore, from a truly inclusive and European perspective.
