On June 30th, the Instituto Politécnico de Tomar (IPT) will host the event "Unleash your Creativity with Technology", an initiative organised by the Laboratory of Pedagogical Innovation and Distance Education (LIED) with several activities throughout the day aimed at the general public.

The morning period is dedicated to workshops on robotics, programming, 3D modelling and virtual reality.

In the afternoon, the Secretary of State for Equality and Migration, Isabel Almeida Rodrigues, will be present during the opening session.

The event is organised in the framework of the project SparkDigiGirls - "Empower Girls Creativity Through Use of Digital Technologies" (ERASMUS+) which aims to encourage girls to explore digital technologies such as AR (Augmented Reality), VR (Virtual Reality), AI (Artificial Intelligence) and IoT (Internet of Things), among others.

The project is a European Digital Skills Awards 2023 finalist in the Empowering Youth in Digital category.

During the plenary session, two round tables will be held: the first, where the results of the project will be presented, is attended by the International Coordinator of the Project, Célio Gonçalo Marques, National Coordinator of the project and Director of LIED, António Manso, Researcher of the project, Luís Colaço, Mentor of the project and teacher of the Agrupamento de Escolas Nuno Santa Maria (AENSM), and students of AENSM; the second, on the theme of technology in women, will feature representatives of the projects Engenheiras por um Dia and Fundação Women4Cyber and representatives of the companies Microsoft, Softinsa and Toinovate Consulting.
