On February 19th, the Centro de Estudos em Fotografia de Tomar hosted the 34th meeting of the Working Group of the Rede de Museus do Médio Tejo.

The event was attended by Councillor Manuel Mourato, representing the Municipality of Vila Nova da Barquinha, the Intermunicipal Secretary of the CIM Médio Tejo, Jorge Simões, the head of the Unit for Strategic Planning and Intermunicipal Projects of the CIM Médio Tejo, Hélder Marques, and representatives of the museums of the various municipalities that make up this network.

The meeting began with a technical visit to the Centro de Estudos em Fotografia de Tomar, including a brief presentation of the work carried out by the centre, a tour of the facilities and the exhibition on display. During the meeting, the new coordinating team of the RMMT, the municipality of Abrantes, was elected and projects already developed and future projects to be carried out by the network's partners were presented.

CEFT - Casa dos Cubos, CMT/IPT, presented the InMemo web platform for photo repositories as an infrastructure project for the Médio Tejo Museum Network and its municipalities. This meeting reinforced the importance of collaboration between the region's museums and the commitment to the cultural and heritage development of the Médio Tejo.

The Médio Tejo Museum Network continues to work for the preservation and promotion of the region's cultural heritage.
