The Instituto Politécnico de Tomar will organize the IPT 2022 Robotic Competition in collaboration with the Torres Novas City Hall on the 20th of May 2022 at Palácio dos Desportos in Torres Novas.

This initiative is intended to encourage and motivate the interest of the entire educational community in scientific and technological areas and to provide a day of healthy competition and exchange of experiences between students and teachers from all over the region, in a stimulating environment of scientific culture.

Each team must have a name and be composed of a maximum of five students and must include at least one teacher/mentor.

The competition is composed of two events: i) Line Following and ii) Line Following with Obstacle Detour. The Line Following competition is open to teams of students from Elementary, Secondary or Vocational Schools. The Line Following with Obstacle Detour is open to teams of students from Elementary, Secondary or Vocational Schools and teams of students from Post-Secondary level.

Additionally, there will be a free demonstration competition open to all those who wish to perform extra-competition robot demonstrations.
