The Polytechnic of Tomar (IPT), through its Diversity and Inclusion Group, is celebrating Local Equality Day with a conference on 24 October.

The Dr Júlio das Neves Auditorium (O106) on the Tomar campus will host the initiative, which is scheduled to start at 11am.

The programme consists of the speech "Gender Equality at IPT - Developments over the last decade", led by professors and members of the Diversity and Inclusion Group Ana Nata and José Casimiro, followed by a presentation by Jorge Simões, representing the Médio Tejo Intermunicipal Community, on "Paths to equal opportunities and non-discrimination in the Médio Tejo region".

The event is open to the general community and participation is free.
