World Water Day is celebrated on 22 March with the theme "Water for Peace". 

As part of the Eco-Schools Programme, the Polytechnic of Tomar invites the IPT academic community to wear a light blue garment on this day.

Participants should take a photo of the moment and send it to ecoescolas@ipt.pt.  

This symbolic action aims to commemorate the day, which was proclaimed in 1992 to raise awareness of the importance of freshwater and to promote the sustainable use and control of drinking water resources.
