On 16 and 17 May, Valahia University of Targoviste in Romania hosted the 1st Annual International KreativEU Conference, an event organised as part of the KreativEU - Knowledge & Creativity European University Consortium. The event, themed "Heritage, Science and Technology for Sustainable Conservation", was sponsored by the National Commission of Romania for UNESCO and the International Council for Philosophy and Human Sciences / Conseil International de la Philosophie et des Sciences Humaines.

The meeting was attended by several European researchers from a wide range of fields, who shared the results of their research applied to heritage.
