IPT strengthens team of first responders with BLS-EDA training
Between 15 and 17 November, the Polytechnic of Tomar hosted the Basic Life Support and EDA course taught by the National Network for Training in BLS-EDA (RENATA).
With this training, IPT has 17 new first responders certified in basic life support and automatic external defibrillation (BLS-ADV). On completion of the course, trainees will be able to recognise a victim in cardiopulmonary arrest, call for help, start CPR manoeuvres (compressions and ventilations) and defibrillate quickly.
Quick and correct action by those involved is essential to help save more lives.
