5th Tourism Days: cultural and religious tourism
The 5th edition of the Tourism Days of the Polytechnic of Tomar (IPT) will be held on the 15th of December and aims to open up a space for reflection on the tourism, sustainable food and wellness sectors.
The initiative will take place in the Dr. Júlio das Neves Auditorium (O106), starting at 9:30 am, and is organised around two central themes:
1) Tourism, sustainable food and well-being in the Médio Tejo and the world. The relationship between food tourism and sustainability shows concern for the cultural and tourist impact that this dynamic can have on territories;
2) Tourism, the Mediterranean diet and tradition: transformations and ways forward (showcooking). Listed by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage, the Mediterranean diet, combined with tourism, contributes to the valorisation of the traditions of local communities.
