The Conservation and Restoration programme offers a sound cultural, scientific and technological background enabling the students to contact with real situations in laboratory and on site.This second-cycle programme was designed so as to develop in students a wide range of skills that will allow them to access the labour market and pursue postgraduate studies at master and doctoral level in circumstances similar to those offered by renowned European higher education institutions.

The labour market is extremely varied including the safeguard, preservation and conservation/restoration of cultural assets in a wide range of sectors such as: central and local administration bodies, museums, museums, charitable organisations, foundations, monuments, palaces, churches, convents, archaeological sites, antiquaries, auctioneers, property carriers, property management companies, conservation and restoration property project offices and research laboratories.
Graduates from this programme easily join the labour market in Portugal or abroad in the different conservation and restoration specialities.
