The Conservation and Restoration Laboratory (LCR.IPT) is a Research and Technological and Artistic Development Unit that encompasses various specialties within Conservation and Restoration, including Painting (ancient and contemporary), Sculpture, Graphic Documents, Furniture, Architectural Heritage, Ceramics, and Tiles. LCR.IPT's activity is always linked to undergraduate and master's degree courses in Conservation and Restoration, namely in supporting classes and research, such as internships and research projects. The recognition of LCR.IPT's competencies has led to a fruitful relationship with various entities through the signing of cooperation agreements. Several public administration bodies or those linked to the Church, such as the Misericórdias and Dioceses, as well as private collectors, contribute to the diversity and quality of the artistic and cultural assets restored at LCR.IPT over the years.
