Evaluation Methodology
Unless otherwise specified, attendance in theoretical-practical (TP) classes is mandatory.
Assessment is based on a TP component (exercises completed during or outside of TP classes) (50%) and a T (theoretical) component (a literature review article on a topic of choice, to be submitted during the exam periods, followed by an oral discussion) (50%). Students are admitted to the final exam only if they achieve a minimum score of 10 out of 20 in the TP component.
To pass the course, students must achieve an overall average of at least 10 out of 20, provided that the score for the T component is also equal to or higher than 10 out of 20.
Unless otherwise decided upon case-by-case review, TP component grades are not carried over from one academic year to the next. Students wishing to retain their TP component grade from a previous year must submit a request at the beginning of the semester.
In special cases, assessment may be based solely on the theoretical component, requiring a minimum score of 10 out of 20 in this component to pass.
All special circumstances regarding classes and the TP component must be duly justified and presented at the beginning of the semester.
