Prerequisites
Knowledge of basic statistics.
Objectives
The students should gain skills to develop and implement quality control and assurance systems, to analyse quality costs and implement statistical control systems.
Program
1 - Introduction - The historical context of Quality.
2 - Quality management systems. Quality assurance standards.
3 - Certification. Standard ISO 9000. Accreditation of entities. ISO 17025.
4 - Audits. Standard ISO 19011.
5 - Quality Cost Analysis.
6 - Implementation and analysis
of statistical process control.
Evaluation Methodology
Theoretical component: written test. Theorical/practical component: report on literature search.
Final mark is the average of the two components. A minimum of 10/20 in both components is required to pass.
