Prerequisites
Previous knowledge of materials science and mechanics of fluid.

Objectives
The students should:
- acquire theoretical, practical and laboratory skills that will allow them to understand foundry processes
- be able to develop design of casting components.

Evaluation Methodology
Students are assessed through laboratory work (15%), practical theoretical work (70%) and field work (15%).

Teaching Method
Expository theoretical and practical classes, which describes and illustrates the application of fundamental principles. Laboratory classes where are perform various experimental works. Field classes where are perform field work in industries.
