Prerequisites
Approval of curricular units that total a minimum of 70 ECTS.Article 1.2 of the ESGT TeSP Internship Curricular Unit Regulations.
Objectives
The trainee must apply the skills acquired through the general and scientific training component and the technical training components in a real work context, aiming to integrate them into the work environment. Therefore, this training unit aims to:
- Provide the development of practices that allow complementing and consolidating the learning acquired in the other training components of the course;
- Provide specific learning resulting from work practice, through adequate integration into the business environment.
Program
In this training unit, a work program will be defined that establishes the tasks to be carried out by the trainee, in a real work context, in the host company (through the signing of a protocol for carrying out training in a work context between the Instituto Politécnico de Tomar and the company). The guidance presupposes contact hours aimed at addressing specific content for each stage and type/process required for each registered reception location.
Evaluation Methodology
Of a formative nature, carried out by the Advisor in accordance with the technical-scientific areas. Final Report Discussion.
The final assessment comprises the opinion of the external supervisor (PSE) qualitative assessment (1-5). The opinion of the internal advisor (POI) rating from 0 to 20 points, rounded to the nearest number.
Public presentation of the final report (ARF), with a classification from 0 to 20 points, rounded to the nearest number, and decided by the jury through voting.
Based on the calculation formula:
Final grade = 0.25 POI + 0.25 PSE + 0.50 ARF
The final assessment will be the weighted average of the three components, with the student being exempt from internship with a grade equal to or greater than 10 points.
In accordance with Articles 3 and 4 of the ESGT CTeSP Internship Curricular Unit Regulations.
