Prerequisites

Objectives
On completion of the course, students should demonstrate knowledge, skills and the ability to generate strategic alternatives in companies, as well as critical thinking in relation to analysis, formulation and strategic planning.

Program
1. the origins of strategic thinking
2. schools of strategic thinking
3. strategic analysis
4. business analysis
5. strategy formulation
6. adapting the strategy to specific situations in the sector and the company
7. concept, challenges and changes in information systems
8. management analysis with information and integration into business strategy
9. practical cases

Evaluation Methodology
2 written tests weighted at 50 per cent each (minimum mark of 6). If students score less than 6 in the first written test, they will automatically be eligible to sit the exam. If they get a mark of less than 6 in the second written test, they will automatically be eligible to sit the exam, with a final mark equal to the mark for the second test.
Students with a mark of less than 10 in the continuous assessment are admitted to the exam.
Written test in exam periods, weighted at 100%.

Teaching Method
Theoretical sessions with course content presentation and practical sessions with discussions on current issues and case study analysis. Related literature Review.
