Objectives
At the end of the course students should
have a broad perspective on cultural heritage, identifying a set of practical tools in the field of cultural heritage management and also analysing and evaluating possible impacts on cultural assets.
Program
1.Cultural Heritage. Concepts
2. Heritage typologies
3. Integrated management of cultural heritage
4. Cultural heritage organisations and managers
5. Cultural heritage inventory(s) and monitoring: classification and georeferencing
6. Assessment of impacts on heritage assets
7. Tests and case studies
Evaluation Methodology
Assessment criteria:
Theoretical written test (50%) and Practical Thematic Assignment (50%).
Students must :
1) achieve a mark of 8 or more in the written test; 2) hand in the practical assignment on the date set by the lecturer. The oral presentation of the practical work is compulsory. If this is not done, the final mark for the practical assignment will be 40 per cent.
The student's final mark for the practical assignment is calculated at all assessment points.
