Safety and Civil Protection

The professional profile is anchored by a set of technical and operational skills aiming the support leadership in emergency situations, prevention (elaboration of environmental impact studies as well as, forestry, environmental, and territorial management projects), and risk assessment that enables the development of security activities, protection, and rescue, in order to articulate and implement strategic plans of action under the integrated system of protection and rescue operations (SIOPS).

Objectives

To provide students with the appropriate knowledge and skills to allow them to

- Provide leadership support in preventive situations (participation in the preparation of environmental impact studies and forest, environmental, and land management projects), emergency and risk assessment
to develop safety, protection, and rescue activities.

- Participate in the development, articulation, and implementation of strategic plans of action within the context of the Integrated System of
Protection and Rescue Operations System (SIOPS).
