On completion of the module the students should be aware of the relevance of the concept of net present value and be able to use it, be able to evaluate investment projects and financial assets and use the appropriate methods and techniques for the evaluation of investment projects.

6 - Basic criteria for investment appraisal
7 - Project evaluation methods that take the time value of money into consideration
8 - Practical application of analysis techniques.
Continuous Assessment: 4 mini-tests x 10% + Test 60% with a minimum grade requirement of 8/20.
Minimum pass mark: 10/20.
Final exam (100%) with 10/20 as the minimum pass mark.
