The
Technological Specialization Course in Energy and Biofuels is the only course
of its kind in the area of Bioenergy in Portugal.
Provide a solid scientific, technological and social learning, supported by a programme and courses that includes contact with real situations and laboratories experiences. This cycle of studies is based on the development of a diverse set of skills and competencies that permits excellent career opportunities and pursue postgraduate studies.
Objectives
The CET in Energy and Biofuels aims to prepare specialists able to operate industrial plants producing biofuels or industrial installations using different forms of bioenergy.
Specialist in Energy and Biofuels should acquire skills in various areas of bioenergy, such as production or use of biodiesel, bioethanol, biogas and biomass, and should be aware of the development of alternative forms of bioenergy and its use, such as the biohydrogen, the "greendiesel", Fisher-Tropschbiofuels, and conversion into thermal, mechanical and electrical energy, particularly in the cogeneration system.
