Objectives
A- Know the fundamental concepts and methodologies of motor development;
B- Know and interpret the phases and stages of motor development;
C- Know and understand the factors and constraints that influence motor development;
D- Master the concept of motor competence and know how to assess it;
E- Know and be able to apply methodologies for assessing physical growth, specifically mastering the basic techniques of anthropometry;
F- Know and use technology to analyse motor development and sports analysis.

Program
1. Fundamental concepts: development, growth, maturation, motor skills and behaviour;
2. Types of motor skills: rudimentary, foundational and specialised;
3. Pyramid of motor development;
4. General characterisation of the different stages of human development;
5. Concepts of sensitive period and critical period;
6. Concept of motor competence;
7. Methodologies for assessing motor competence, practical application of the Motor Competence Assessment;
8. Basic concepts of anthropometry: instruments, measurement techniques and types of error;
9. Anthropometry protocols for the main measurements;
10. Somatotype: concept, quantification, evaluation and interpretation;
11. Using technology to analyse motor development and sports analysis.

Evaluation Methodology
Continuous Assessment:
- Completion of individual theoretical-practical forms (50% final mark);
- Individual assessment of anthropometric measurements (50% final mark).

Final Assessment:
- Written exam on the contents of the course (50% final mark);
- Practical test of anthropometric measurements (50% final mark).
