Objectives
O1: To inscribe the touristic phenomenon and of the interest on cultural heritage within the global framework of adaptation to major global transformations and of the great acceleration.
O2: To understand the differential specificity of different types of mobility, recognising their structurally convergent elements.
O3: To develop competences of articulation between products of cultural tourism and the sustainable development goals, following the strategic programme of the IPT-UNESCO chair on Humanities and Cultural Integrated Landscape Management.
Program
C1. The context of the great acceleration and the global challenges of Humankind.
C2. The place of archaeological and artistic heritage as na invariante of landscapes in transformation.
C3. Mobility in the context of the evolution of human behaviour.
C4. Geography of frontiers, tourism and global mobility.
C5. Methodology of cultural integrated management of territories and construction of products of cultural tourism.
Evaluation Methodology
Assessment through the preparation of essays to be developed by students, related to one or more of the learning objectives of the course. Assessment will comprise a continuous assessment component, accounting for 20% of the final grade, based on students assignments, participation and attendance, and a final paper, accounting for 80% of the final grade.
