I. Acquire and master knowledge on packaging design and technology.
I.1 Know the aspects of the packaging market,
I.2 Know the types of standard packaging
I.3 Know the industrial packaging production systems.
I.4 Know the materials and their properties (paper, cardboard, corrugated board) and accessories.
II. To be able to solve problems of design and production of packaging and promotional objects.
II.1 Know and adopt the appropriate methodologies for packaging design.
II.2 Associate with the various technical criteria a critical view regarding the issues of sustainability and ergonomics.
III. Master the ArtiosCad and Studio Visualizer software.
III.1 Master the Design and 3D modules of the ArtiosCad software.
IV.Design and carry out packaging prototypes.

5.8 Production processes. Production systems and equipment.

Evaluation Methodology
Continuous asses.: 30% report and 70% projects. Classification is weighted average of all grades.
Examination asses.: attend. at 2/3 of the classes and min. of 10/20 on projects. Written assessment only theor. Rating min. 10 val., Weight T/P.

Teaching Method
Presentation of theoretical contents and analysis of the different packaging. Field trip. Execution of packaging design projects from the briefing phase to the final prototype using different materials.
