Objectives
1) Acquire theoretical and practical knowledge on the technical features of the production of a polychrome sculpture, its historical evolution and materials applied.
2) Causes and effects of degradation in polychrome wood sculpture.
3) Materials and methods for conservation of polychrome sculpture.
4) Conform methodologies and materials with the ethical principles of the Conservator-restorer profession.
5) To promote the interdisciplinary exchange between Conservation and Restoration and other areas such as Photography, Chemistry, History, Art History, Decorative Arts, etc.
6) Allowing the student to carry a conservation and restoration intervention in a methodological, ethical and scientific level.

Evaluation Methodology
Final mark: : [laboratorial practice + technical report] (50%) + written test (40%) + presentation of the work developed in the practical class (10%).

Note:
Minimum grade of 10, for all the following components: Practical performance; Technical report; Written test.

The evaluation criteria are similar for both the continuous evaluation period and the exam period.
