Objectives
The aim of this course is to transmit knowledge and develop skills in the field of Geotechnics applied to Rehabilitation works, namely:
-to know and apply concepts, standards, theories and procedures learned in Soil Mechanics and Rock Mechanics to the evaluation and maintenance of buildings and infrastructures, in the design phase and urban rehabilitation work site;
-to know and apply techniques for evaluation and diagnosis and techniques for design, execution and monitoring in the treatment of soils and rock mass foundation and reinforcement of foundations;
-identify risk situations, evaluate the factors involved and make decisions;
-analyze results of studies and tests and make decisions bout data for design, procedures for execution and control on site, regarding the component of Geotechnics.
