Objectives
The students should be familiar with the sociocultural, technological and scientific context of cultural assets; be able to apply concepts, standards and methods to the preservation of museum collections; develop the ability to manage risk in collection management. Design preservation plans.

Program
Concepts of collection preservation.
Types of museum collections and structures - present context and strategies.
Integrated Risk Management.Integrated preservation plan through the monitoring and control risk factors for collections during handling, storage, displacement, transport and display.

Evaluation Methodology
Final assessment: public presentation of a website on preservation related issues(10%)
Research project work (50%)
Public presentation of research project (20%) and multimedia support (20%).
