Objectives
An in-depth study of financial management that will prepare the students to manage in an international context, to take decisions on exchange rate related matters and familiarise themselves with the means of settlement and financing of international trade.
Program
1 - INTRODUCTION:Thematic framework of the area of International Finance.
2 - EVOLUTION OF THE INTERNATIONAL MONETARY SYSTEM:The European Monetary System (EMS),The Economic and Monetary Union (EMU). 3 - EXCHANGE MARKET. 4 - HEDGING. 5 - INTERNATIONAL FINANCING:International Monetary Fund (IMF),International financial projects, Financing international trade.
Evaluation Methodology
Ongoing assessment: classwork + two closed-book tests.
Final summative exam (100%).
A minimum mark of 10/20 will exempt the students from taking the final exam.
