Objectives
Acquisition of theoretical knowledge about the workflow stages in the printing industry, the syst. of graphic reproduction and the printing forme.
Acquisition of knowledge of engraving proc., pract. domain of etching.
Domain of tech. of hand-setting and experimentation with types and typesetting.
Program
Work flow of the printing industry: pre-press, printing, postpress. Orig.: image/text.
Convent. Printing (Letterpress and flexography, offset, gravure and Pad Print., Screen Print.) and Digital Print. Print. forms.
Technical processes of engraving: woodcut, lithograph, drypoint, intaglio, mezzotint, etching, aquatint and soft varnish.
Department: metric systems, typology, classification.
Evaluation Methodology
Theoretical - will have continuous and final assessment.
Laboratory Practice (P / L) - have continuous assessment, considering the assiduity and delivery of the required exercises.
