Objectives
An introduction to web design based on the command of HTML and CSS languages. The main goal is to carry out web design projects using specific software including the ability to implement such concepts as information architecture and content design.

Program
1. HTML language: text, lists, tables; Images and hiperlinks.
2. Introducing CSS in a webpage: the concept of class, subclass and pseudo-class.
3. Javascript codes.
4. Information architecture; structure and organization of the web site.
5. Content design.
6. Layout: homepage, secondary pages and content pages.
7. Navigation: conventions and persistent navigation.

Evaluation Methodology
Assessment includes two exercises concerning the production of a
website. Continuous assessment consists of evalution of students' websites, the preliminary project carried out during the semester and one written test.

Teaching Method
Theoretical-practical classes where web design issues will be
discussed so that the students will be prepared to create their own website with basis on concepts learned.
