Atividade Pedagógica
In 2026/2027, several course units at the Polytechnic University of Tomar work on real places and problems and deliver data to the laboratory under common protocols. This link gives L-TOUR permanent fieldwork capacity and makes its diagnostics comparable from year to year.
- Cultural and Creative Industries (Degree in Tourism and Cultural Heritage Management): cultural and creative ecosystems of Médio Tejo municipalities; weekly fieldwork missions on cultural agents, venues, public funding, digital presence, heritage and events, forming the first wave (2026/2027) of the L-TOUR data-collection protocol.
- Principles of Tourism (and Sustainability) (Higher Professional Technical Course in Tourism Management and Degree in Tourism and Cultural Heritage Management): applied project on the economic dependence on tourism of Médio Tejo municipalities, feeding a database of municipal indicators.
- Research Methods for the Social Sciences (Degree in Tourism and Cultural Heritage Management): study of visitor flows and the visit experience at the Convent of Christ, including instrument design, data collection with visitors and data analysis.
- Experience Design and Curation (Master's in Experience Tourism and Postgraduate Programme in Tourism and Digital Marketing): field cases in the region, and prototyping and testing of tourism experiences.
The laboratory also hosts curricular internships and supports undergraduate, master's and postgraduate work related to its research lines. Students who wish to continue collaborating beyond their course units can join the network of early-career corresponding researchers by writing to l-tour@ipt.pt.
Data collected by students are checked before entering the laboratory's datasets; no personal data are published; reports credit their authors.
