“One Day Two Round Tables" will take place on 10 May bringing together renowned Portuguese, Cape Verdean and Brazilian researchers in two different rooms.

The Library of the Instituto Politécnico de Tomar will host the event on the theme “The importance of the rural world in global sustainability”, which is scheduled to start at 10am. The event will be attended by the Director of ESTT, Cecília Baptista, IPT Professor Luís dos Santos and representatives from Torres Novas City Council, the Federal University of Pernambuco and the University of Cape Verde.

Meanwhile, at the Observatório da Biosfera do Paul do Boquilobo, at 2.30pm, there will be a round table discussion on “Reimagining the Landscape: Cultural and environmental dialogues”.   Luís Mota Figueira and Luiz Oosterbeek, lecturers at the Polytechnic of Tomar, are joined by researchers from the University of Évora, Cape Verde and Pernambuco.
