A series of tours of the new Student Residence facilities at the Polytechnic of Tomar (IPT), located in Av. Cândido Madureira in Tomar, took place on 30 June. The tours were attended by representatives from local and regional authorities, institutional partners and members of the community, with the aim of showcasing the facilities available in this building.
This new facility, funded through the Programme for the Promotion and Enhancement of the Quality and Availability of Student Accommodation in Higher Education (77_01/C02-I06/2022) under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP), enabled the refurbishment of a listed building in the centre of Tomar and represents a significant investment in upgrading infrastructure and increasing the accommodation capacity of the Polytechnic of Tomar.
This new residence, which will be available from this year onwards, offers modern, comfortable spaces tailored to the needs of higher education students. It contributes to improving students’ integration and well-being, while also serving as a key factor in promoting academic success and enhancing the attractiveness of both the institution and the region.
In this way, IPT reaffirms its commitment to enhancing students’ study and living conditions, contributing to a more inclusive, welcoming, and enriching academic experience.
The official inauguration of the facilities will be announced in due course.
