Launch of the e-book "From Emergency Teaching to Digital Transformation - Book of Communications and Posters of eL@IES 2021".
It was presented during eL@IES 2022 by Célio Gonçalo Marques and Ana Nata, LIED members and co-organisers of the e-book.

"This eBook - brings together the abstracts, papers and posters held during the 9th Meeting of Institutions and Units of eLearning in Higher Education (eLIES2021), which was held for the first time, in a virtual format and whose topic was "From Emergency Teaching to Digital Transformation". eL@IES is a Meeting of Higher Education eLearning Institutions and Units that takes place annually, in a partnership of 3 HEIs, of which LE@D, Universidade Aberta is permanent. Within the scope of knowledge diffusion and transfer, it aims at promoting reflection, debate and exchange of experiences in the implementation, organisation and application of eLearning in Portuguese Higher Education Institutions. In this context, eL@IES 2021 allowed us to understand, strengthen and develop good practices of collaboration and sharing between eLearning teams and units and Portuguese Higher Education Institutions."

IX Encontro de Instituições e Unidades de eLearning do Ensino Superior -eL@IES 2021

The 9th Meeting of Higher Education eLearning Institutions and Units - eL@IES took place on 10th December 2021, with the theme "From emergency teaching to digital transformation". This edition was organised by Instituto Politécnico de Tomar, Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro and Universidade Aberta.

This event had ten Portuguese and foreign speakers and 176 participants, with Professor Fernando Ramos as Keynote Speaker: Rector of Universidade Portucalense, Visiting Professor at Universidade de Aveiro and Former President of the Commission for Distance Education of the Assessment and Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (A3ES).

 

Our team from the Laboratory of Pedagogical Innovation and Distance Education (LIED.IPT) coordinated the organisation of this event which also included 17 institutional Posters resulting from a peer review. Instituto Politécnico de Tomar was present with two posters: "Creation of Massive, Online and Open Courses (MOOC): a case study at Instituto Politécnico de Tomar", authors: Célio Gonçalo Marques, Maria Rita Nunes, Paulo Santos, António Manso, Ana Nata, Ana Marta Rodrigues, which received the title of best poster of this edition by the participants, with the Poster: Creation of Massive, Online and Open Courses (MOOC): A case study at Instituto Politécnico de Tomar.

Conference: Digital Transformation and Information Technologies in Pandemic Times (On-line)

Our Laboratory of Pedagogical Innovation and Distance Learning (LIED. IPT) was represented in the virtual conference "Digital Transformation and Information Technologies in Pandemic Times" by our Professors Célio Gonçalo Marques and Ana Nata who gave the presentation "Innovating in Pandemic Times: Creation of a Pedagogical Innovation Course in Higher Education", on the 16th December 2020. The presentation was also authored by Professors António Manto, Hélder Pestana, Luís Miguel Ferreira, Maria Rita Nunes and Paulo Santos and will be published in the scientific journal UiIPS, Thematic Edition: Exact Sciences and Engineering

22nd International Symposium on Computers in Education (Málaga, Spain)

Our Laboratory of Pedagogical Innovation and Distance Education (LIED.IPT) was represented at the 22nd International Symposium on Computers in Education, which took place in Málaga (Spain), with a paper entitled "Detection of plagiarism in algorithms. A case study using Algorithmi" by Antonio Manso, Célio Gonçalo Marques, Paulo Santos (LIED.IPT members) and Vitor Alencar (Computer Engineering student from IPT). The paper will be published in the symposium proceedings and later published as CEUR post-proceedings, with SCOPUS indexing.

8th Meeting of Higher Education eLearning Institutions and Units (University of Algarve, Portugal)

The 8th Meeting of Higher Education eLearning Institutions and Units took place on 9 December 2019, at the University of Algarve (UAlg), an initiative co-organised by the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar. The recently created IPT's Pedagogical Innovation and Distance Learning Laboratory was represented by Célio Gonçalo Marques, who was also an invited speaker with the topic "Perspectives for the future of Resources and Technologies in eLearning"; Margarida Oliveira was invited to moderate the panel on "Resources and Technologies in eLearning" and Ana Marta Rodrigues was responsible for the Poster presenting this IPT Laboratory whose areas of activity as well as the projects scheduled until 2023 were recognised by peers winning the award Best Poster of the Event.
