The opening session of the teaching activities of the Loures class of our CTeSP in Technology and Programming in Information Systems (CTeSP TPSI) took place last Monday, October 25th, at the premises of IPTrans – Escola Profissional de Loures. Dr. Paulo Lopes, Pedagogical Director of the Association for Professional Education in Transport and Logistics, Dr. João Patrício, Director of our School of Technology in Tomar, Mr. Christoph Ribeiro, Coordinator of the Technological Innovation Centre of Tomar of IBM/Softinsa, partner of our CTeSP TPSI, and Dr. André Antunes, Chief of Staff of the Mayor of Loures have contributed to this session as speakers.   This session was followed by a more operational meeting with the students of this class conducted by our Associate Professor Luís Agnelo Almeida, Coordinator of the CTeSP, who also served to publicise the scholarship program that IBM/Softinsa signed with the IPT for this Course.

 
The entry into operation of this class was approved by DGES within the scope of the Plataforma de Formação, Conhecimento e Inovação Lisboa Norte which, in addition to the IPT, brings together the Polytechnics of Setúbal, Santarém and Leiria. It is also part of the set of actions listed in the scope of the Consortium "Entre o Tejo e Mar - CETM", aiming at applying to PRR (Programa Impulso Jovens / Programa Impulso Adultos) led by IPT, the Polytechnic of Santarém and the Escola Superior Náutica Infante D. Henrique.
