The SparkDigiGirls Project has emerged with the objective of empowering girls' creativity through the use of Digital Technologies and is financed by the Eramus+ programme.
The Laboratory of Pedagogical Innovation and Distance Education (LIED) from the Instituto Politécnico of Tomar is the promoter of this project in Portugal and on the 22nd July will hold a round table discussion with national experts, to discuss the main factors that prevent young girls from exploring career paths in computing and technology and the perspectives of approaching the problem.
This international project involves higher education institutions and associations linked to the promotion of digital skills from Slovenia, Lithuania, Greece and Portugal and has activities planned until 2023.
