Co-organised by the Instituto Superior de Educação e Ciências (ISEC) and the Instituto Politécnico de Tomar, the Second POLITECH Iberian Symposium entitled [Academia x Talent] Innovation = Value will take place on 9th May 2018.  With a strong participation of businesses and polytechnic higher institutions, the Symposium will focus on the management of human capital and resources as a way to involve staff in organisational strategy and achieve organisational excellence. Topics under debate are diverse and are organised around three discussion panels:


I - TALENT ACQUISITION
How to reconcile legal duties and budgetary constraints of higher education institutions with talent acquisition needs?   How to attract top talent?

II - LEADERSHIP
How to innovate in human capital management?  How to ensure management and motivation that is in line with everyone’s interests and expectations?   How to promote talent development in the various generations of employees?

III - ENGAGEMENT
What are the strengths and opportunities that best maximise talent capture and retention in higher education institutions? What organisational commitments are required and how can innovation be used to get that organisational commitment recognised? How is performance appraisal valued?

Researchers, academics, policy-makers, specialists, businessmen and professionals will provide their own viewpoints and real-life cases and will exchange know-how and experience, concepts and solutions.
