The presentation of Techn&Art will take place next Wednesday, May 29, at 3.00pm in the O106 auditorium located on the campus of the IPT at Tomar.

Techn&Art is a R&D unit in Technology, Restoration and Art Enhancement recently created at the IPT and registered in the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). It aims to develop high-quality research in the fields of conservation and enhancement of heritage, both in terms of experimental development and applied research. These scientific fields will add to contributions from various areas such as teaching, technology, communication or design, which shows that interdisciplinarity is one of its core competencies.

The dissemination of scientific, technological and artistic culture will be made by means of conferences, seminars, exhibitions, publications and cultural sessions with the contribution of national and international institutions/bodies.

The session is open to the general public and will be attended by its Director, Célio Gonçalo Marques, the Assistant Director, Herminia Sol, the respective Governing Council composed of Eunice Ramos Lopes, Marta Azevedo, Regina Delfino and Ricardo Triães and the vast majority of its nearly 70 researchers.
