Comboio do Conhecimento

The Comboio do Conhecimento project is launched June 18.
Under the motto “Don’t miss the train - do give credit to your studies and come and see Portugal”, this initiative forms part of the programme “More education is needed”. The Comboio do Conhecimento project aims to foster the development of higher level skills and academic success as well as to instil knowledge of territorial dynamics in higher education students.
Students enrolled in foundation courses (CTeSP), bachelor’s and master’s degrees who have completed at least 36 ECTS during the 2017-2018 year can benefit, free of charge, from a trip in Portugal, several associated price reductions and other benefits.
Students can claim their vouchers through the IPT website www.comboio-conhecimento.pt, thus accessing a range of services:
•    Seven-day rail pass for urban, regional, inter-regional and intercity trains to be used during the year 2018 in the CP network.
•    Discounts at Youth Hostels run by Movijovem: 6-night stay in a double room, breakfast included, for 50€.
•    Cartão Jovem EYC free of charge (accessible through online request).
Students will be able to share their experience at the Comboio do Conhecimento through the Globestamp App which provides route maps and allows to plan experiences and foster healthy competition.
The initiative Comboio do Conhecimento is promoted by the Ministries of Science, Technology, Higher Education, Planning and Infrastructures, Tourism, and Education in partnership with a range of organisations such as Comboios de Portugal (CP), the Directorate-General for Higher Education, higher education institutions, Movimento Associativo Estudantil, Ciência Viva (National agency for scientific and technological culture), Turismo de Portugal, Movijovem and Globestamp.
