- identify the energy, power and respective units of measurement. Identify and correctly use measuring devices;
- identify failures and operate effluent treatment systems;
- participate in the implementation of integrated management systems, analyse costs of quality and introduce measures to improve processes;
- carryout fundamental calculations in the areas of mathematics, physics and chemistry in general situations related to the pulp and energy production processes;
- identify the different groups of microorganisms and their applications in biotechnology;
- participate in teamwork;
- identify the constructive characteristics of steam generators and steam turbines;
- identify the variables of the kraft and busulfite cooking processes, the bleaching steps and the fundamentals of chemical recovery. Identify and operate the process equipment;
- identify thermal machines and determine rates of heat transfer;
- monitor internal audits.
