Objectives
At the end of the term the students should have acquired methodological and technical skills in the subject matters: geology,zoology, botanics, genetics, molecular biology and microbiology.

Program
Methodological foundations of Geology. Principles and methodology for the recognition of geological elements. Genesis and classification of minerals.
Introduction to the exploitation of mineral resources and its environmental impact. The significance of geological phenomena in the environmental evolution.

Evaluation Methodology
Continuous assessment: Written test (80%)+ essays(20%)
Final assessment: Examination (100%)
